Great Crested Flycatcher
- First caught at Riveredge during the May 1998 Bandathon, now
captured May 19th, 2001
- We could tell it was a female, and was sitting on eggs
- She was two years old
- She migrates to Mexico for the winter
- She has migrated from Riveredge to Mexico and back to Riveredge
4 times
- The trip is 1,750 miles each way
- We could also tell she was sitting on eggs
- That made her 5 years old
Blue-Winged Warbler
- First caught at Riveredge during our migration banding in May
1998
- We could tell it was a male by it's bright feather colors
- He was three years old
- He migrates to Panama for the winter
- He has migrated from Riveredge to Panama and back to Riveredge
5 times
- The trip is 2,425 miles each way
- We also caught this bird during the 2000 Bandathon when he
was 5 years old
- During the 2001 bandathong this year the bird is 6 years old
